President Muhammadu Buhari is back! The president arrived on Friday to Nigeria after nearly two months away on medical vacation in London, United Kingdom. The presidential jet that conveyed Buhari landed at the Nigerian Air Force Base in Kaduna at 7.40am . . .
After his arrival at the NAF base in Kaduna President Buhari was flown in a presidential helicopter to Abuja. The helicopter that conveyed him from Kaduna touched ground at the helipad inside the Presidential Villa in Abuja at 8.42am.
Buhari was received by Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo; Zamfara State Governor, Abdulaziz Yari; Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Muhammad Bello; Minister of Defence, Mansur Dan-Ali; National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno; Director-General of the Department of State Services, Lawal Daura; Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris; Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari; all service chiefs.
Buhari said he is feeling better now and pleased to be back home. The President proceeded to host Vice president Yemi Osinbajo and other top officials to a meeting at the First Lady’s office. Bashad Ahmaad, President’s aide quoted him as saying: “I am pleased I am back, I am feeling much better now”.
The President is expected to forward transmission to the Senate notifying the chamber of his arrival and intention to go back to work.
